My younger brother, Grant, and Mikayla. I had alot of fun running around with them, taking pictures and such. This is one of the pictures I took, then worked on fixing it up in Photoshop. It had been a little while since I'd worked on editing a photo, so I'd almost forgotten some of things I'd learned during the last few months!

More messing around after a new photo shoot with Bri. In this case I tried to match the over all feeling and style of the photograph to another photographer's image, (http://nerdynotdirty.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d26pe9i)
Its tough, especially since I need a new camera and I'm still learning how to run my images through Photoshop. DeviantArt tutorials have been wonderful and very helpful, but theres only so much I can get from them.
Anyways, no more excuses! I've got a lot of good images from this last photo shoot and I'm going to try and fix up a ton of them.

So heres another set of images I've been working on. This one wasn't as hard and I learned something new, YAY!
I've been checking out alot of Sarachmet's(http://sarachmet.carbonmade.com/) photography and absolutely love her vintage images, so I decided to try and reproduce some of her same effects.
Though my photography skills are lacking greatly I was able to use a few of my older images for manipulation. I think they came out okay.
Today I learned how wonderful using the Screen setting on a texture layer can be! Its wonderful really.

Tried another new technique. This time I cleaned up the image a bit, fixed up the colors like I learned from Night-Fate's tutorial (http://night-fate.deviantart.com/art/photo-edit-tutorial-1-91887840), than added an adjustment layer, gradient, adjusted it so that the red was in the corner and the yellow covered the majority of the image. Set it to multiply and changed the opacity on it. I should really put up step-by-step images of what I'm doing so that people can tell me where I'm going wrong.
Well, hope you all like the image.

Done about a month ago. Since then I've learned a bit about using 'Selective Color' in Photoshop. Not sure if these are anything great but I figured I'd try something new. I'm thinking about adding textures and stuff to my pictures soon. We'll see.

So I'm trying out some new things in Photoshop that I didn't understand or use before. Night-Fate's tutorials are extremely useful and easy to apply so I've been practicing with some of her settings and such on different pictures to see how they turn out.

Hopefully since its spring I can start getting some model's outside to start taking photos again. I might have a new model to practice with too! We'll see!

Practicing with Black & White and movement, than pulling it into Photoshop CS4 and messing around with series and curves. These were my favorite ones.

Took some pictures during last summer and decided to try fixing this one up in photoshop. I'm still learning how to work photos through all the adjustment layers and such, but hopefully I start producing a few good images soon.
